Safety Data Sheets
A Hazardous Chemical Inventory List is a list in alphabetical order of all hazardous chemicals in the workplace. A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) means a written or printed material concerning a hazardous chemical that is prepared by the chemical manufacturer. As per the Hazard Communication Standard ( 29CFR1910.1200 ) a Safety Data Sheet shall be made readily available to all employees when a hazardous chemical exists. By clicking on the “Safety Data Sheets” link above, employees will have access to the Hazardous Chemical Inventory List along with all Safety Data Sheets.
Note: Safety Data Sheets are updated every two years. The last update was January 19, 2024.
Comer Construction is committed to providing a healthy and safe work environment for all employees, subcontractors, and the general public. By clicking here, employees may access the Comer Construction Healthy & Safety Manual at any time. This document details the required safety standards that every Comer Construction employee is expected to uphold daily. Employees are encouraged to read through this document in its entirety and refer back to it as often as needed. If you would like a hard copy, please contact Timothy Kaptein, Director of Safety.
A protective system is a method of protecting employees from cave-ins, from material that could fall or roll from an excavation, or from the collapse of adjacent structures. Protective systems include support systems, sloping and benching systems, shield systems, and other systems that provide necessary protection. Trench Box Certificates (Tabulated Data) are tables and charts approved by a registered professional engineer and used to design and construct a protective system. The Trench Box Certificates link below provides Comer Construction employees access to all Comer Construction owned protective systems.
