Safety First

At Comer Construction, our number one priority is to protect the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors, the general public, and the environment. Safety does not occur by chance; it is the direct result of strict oversight of daily activities, the implementation of a seamless safety program, and the commitment of all of our employees. In 2018, Comer Construction was awarded the Maryland Associated General Contractors (AGC) 2018 Safety Excellence Award, in recognition of our extraordinary 2018 Safety Performance in achieving zero lost time and a combined incident rate 58% below the Bureau of Labor Statistics average rate for its industry sector.

Our employees commitment to safety in the workplace is just another way we continue to strive for safety excellence each day. Each year, we honor employees for their outstanding effort and achievement in going over and above to help make Comer Construction a safer place to work. As always, our goal at Comer Construction is to have zero injuries and incidents in the workplace. Through our daily commitment to uphold safety standards developed by our Safety Committee, we are confident we will maintain a safe work environment for everyone on the Comer Construction Team. A successful day at Comer Construction is when every employee returns home healthy and safe.
