Kenworth Mid Atlantic Stormwater Management by Comer Construction

Kenworth Mid-Atlantic

Baltimore, MD

The Kenworth Mid Atlantic project was a major expansion of All Road Trucks’ Baltimore dealership. Stormwater management ran through nearly every phase of the work. Our crews handled initial grading and installation of erosion and sediment controls. We also installed new storm drains along with water and sewer utilities. Curb and gutter work further directed the run off to complete the stormwater management system for the larger building and redeveloped property.

Sinai Hospital Comer Stormwater Management Project

Sinai Hospital

Baltimore, MD

Comer Construction’s site work for the Mandy & Dennis Weinman Cancer Building at Sinai Hospital was an urban infill site on a fully operating hospital campus. Because the entire project sits within the Chesapeake Bay watershed, stormwater management carried extra weight. With almost no room for traditional drainage solutions on such a tight footprint, Comer Construction’s crews built sediment and erosion controls under Maryland Department of the Environment guidelines while excavation and grading continued around them. The result was a stormwater system threaded into a live hospital campus without disrupting critical operations.

Ferguson Waterworks - Stormwater management - Comer Construction

Ferguson Waterworks

Joppa, MD

Comer Construction handled site preparation for the new Ferguson Waterworks warehouse in Joppa, MD. When clearing the land for construction, trees and root systems that naturally control erosion needed to be removed. To compensate for this, our crews installed sediment and erosion control measures and stormwater management facilities early in the project, before grading, utilities, and paving could safely proceed. Left unaddressed, erosion could have damaged the building’s foundation, parking lot, and underground utilities.
